Inspiration
For centuries, the magical and otherworldly creatures of the wilderness - known as fairies, sprites, pixies, and many other regional variations - have been feared and respected by humans. It was believed that these mystical creatures inhabited the lands long before us. Fairies were depicted often as small but powerful beings. They could easily lead an unwary traveler astray, snatch a baby from its crib, lure you into their realm, or put a mischievous spell on you. Though short tempered, not all of them were inherently malicious. If treated with respect, they might reward you with gifts or services.
Thanks to many folkloric traditions, we've also been familiarized with a story of an old witchy woman living in the woods with a black cat. This cat is no regular cat, it holds unusual abilities like talking, divination, shapeshifting, and being helpful in various ways. These witches' companions are known as familiars. They come in many shapes and forms, often as animals. They are not pets, or servants. Familiars are in a symbiotic pact with a human they've deemed worthy.
Pixie Land Familiars was inspired by folklore and tales, reminding you of the power of the nature, and inviting you to become a part of it. Join the pixie parade and dance through the night on hazy meadows, returning to your warm cottage when first morning rays reach your fur.
About the products
All of our faux fur ears are handmade luxury items. Real fur is never used, but some of the crochet accessories are made of wool, which will be mentioned in the product info. Every item is unique due to the handmade nature. Most of the ears are made with an incorporated aluminum wire, which allows them to be posed however you like. Ears are attached to a metal headband by comfortable fabric straps, and their position can be adjusted. It's highly recommend investing in a slicker brush along your beautiful ears, they always look better when carefully brushed! More about care in the guide section.

Hi, let me introduce myself! I'm Elina, the artist and creator behind Pixie Land Familiars. I'm a girl from Finland, the land of lakes and forests! I've always been a visual person and this brand is a real dream combo of my niche interests, like animals, fairies, witches, furries, crochet, digital/traditional art, and designing cute things. My goal is to bring glimpses of nature's magic to the modern people, in a form of whimsical accessories and other homemade trinkets and goods!
As this business is run by a single pair of paws, new products may not come out as fast as from bigger manufacturers. Every pair of ears takes a lot of work, and I want to put my best effort towards all of them. Thank you for understanding, and supporting Pixie Land Familiars!
